Bali Governor Wayan Koster said he will go forward with his plans to advise islanders to consider having four children even if his policy is rejected by the central government.
“Even if it is not approved [by the central government], we will go ahead with it anyway,” Koster said on Wednesday, as reported by Detik.

Police say man who desecrated altar at Denpasar church is chronically depressed
Police said that the man – identified by his initial, A – who desecrated the altar at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Denpasar yesterday was chronically depressed and is now being treated at Sanglah General Hospital.

Bali police arrest Bulgarian for ATM skimming in Seminyak
Police in Bali have arrested yet another Bulgarian national for alleged ATM skimming. The suspect, identified by police as Krasimir Stoykov, was arrested yesterday in Seminyak.
“The suspect connected a skimming device in the form of a router, which also came with a flash disk and hidden camera, used to extract data,” Bali Police’s general crime director, Andi Fairan, said today, as reported by Merdeka.

Bali immigration denies overcharging Czech tourist who overstayed his visa
Bali Immigration yesterday denied having charged an extra fee to a Czech tourist who had overstayed his Indonesian visa after the latter claimed that he was asked to pay more than what was written on his receipt.
