Prosecutors at the Denpasar Court yesterday demanded that two men, identified as M. Dani and Muhammad Ikhsan, be sentenced to 17 years in prison each for attempting to smugglearound 1 kilogram of shabu (crystal meth) into Bali in March.

A 35-year-old fish farmer was found dead at Lake Batur in Kintamani, Bali, yesterday afternoon. Authorities suspect he fell off his boat and had difficulty swimming because he was fully-clothed and wearing boots, causing him to drown.
