The Denpasar Court has sentenced the pair allegedly behind the child sex trafficking case that was uncovered in Sanur earlier this year to five years in prison each, after the women were found guilty of violating the 2002 Law on Child Protection.

Bali Police arrest Yogyakarta man for allegedly running online prostitution business
Police in Bali said yesterday that a man from Yogyakarta, identified by his initial H, was arrested for allegedly running an online-based prostitution business on Twitter.
Last month, authorities reportedly tracked a Twitter account containing pornographic posts, some of which explicitly offered sexual services.

4 Bulgarian nationals named suspects in ATM skimming cases
Bali Police have arrested four Bulgarian nationals allegedly connected to several ATM skimming attempts on the island.
In a statement, police identified the suspects as Stoyanov Georgi Ivanov (43), Filip Aleksandrov (45), Boycho Angelov (41) and Stoyan Vladimirov (37).

Central gov’t apologizes for damage caused by Benoa Bay reclamation, says project will be stopped
An official from Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs apologized for the environmental damage caused by the reclamation of Benoa Bay and confirmed in a meeting with Bali Governor Wayan Koster that the controversial project will be put to a stop.

A 58-year-old Japanese national who participated at the annual Maybank Bali Marathon yesterday reportedly died shortly after collapsing during the competition. According to local media, he is suspected to have died of a heart attack.

Bus catches fire at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport
A bus caught on fire within Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport complex this afternoon. Thankfully, no casualties were reported from the incident.
According to local media, the incident occurred at 1:25pm at the ground support equipment (GSE) area of the airport.
