Dear foreigners in Bali, if you happen to reside at a boarding house – locally known as kos/kost – in Badung regency, it might be a good idea to make other living arrangements, as it’s recently brought to our attention that a 2019 Regent Regulation prohibits foreign citizens from residing in these establishments.

Denpasar court sentences Romanian man to 8 months in prison for ATM skimming
Alexandru Boarta, a 32-year-old Romanian national who was arrested in March for attempting an ATM skimming scheme in Bali, was sentenced to eight months in prison yesterday at the Denpasar District Court.

Police arrest Russian national for allegedly dealing drugs in Kuta, say he’s part of a Russian network
Police said today that a Russian national, identified as 31-year-old Andrew Ayer, who was arrested in Kuta for carrying over half a kilo of hashish in his backpack, is connected to a Russian drug network in Bali.
