The food at Street Boi in Jalan Petitenget is inspired by the vibrant roadside food culture of Asia. It is the lovechild of Kung Fu movies and American diner culture. Born of a love of pillowy steamed baos, rock anthems, diner culture and street food– at Street Boi, you can have your bao and cocktail too.
Steamed buns are a familiar staple across Asia, but at Street Boi they bend the rules by offering the perfect pillowy softness of a traditional bao, packed with killer fillers worthy of the very best burger joint. Think caramelized pulled beef with peanuts (“Bao Me”), or twice cooked glazed pork belly with apple slaw (“Porky Pork Bao”), and if neither of those strike your fancy there is the more traditional beef patty with tomato and smoked cheddar (“Chuck’s Bao”) and a vegetarian option featuring a chickpea patty and curry mayo (“Vego Bao”).
