Bangli Police are investigating a case of domestic violence in the regency involving a 58-year-old woman, Ni Ketut Tampi, who was allegedly beaten with a saw by her own husband, I Ketut Jerman, merely because their grandson had refused to sit on Jerman’s lap.

Radar Bali reported that Jerman turned violent after their grandson refused to sit on his lap when he was called upon. Jerman got upset and yelled at the grandson, then tried to hit him.

“But the victim (Tampi) then put herself in between the two of them, which made Jerman angrier so he went to grab a saw,” Bangli Police spokesman, Sulhadi, told Radar Bali.

Jerman then grabbed Tampi by the hair and started hitting her with a saw. Bloodied after being struck, Tampi managed to escape and asked for help from her neighbor, who then took her to the local hospital for treatment.
