American found dead by suicide in Kerobokan hotel
An American man in his late 20s was found dead in his hotel room in Mertanadi, Kerobokan. Police suspected that he took his own life.

28, was found by the hotel’s housekeeper, Putu Agus Parwata, yesterday around 2:30pm. Parwata reportedly attempted to call JMH’s room first to ask whether the victim would like to extend his stay or not.
“The victim was supposed to check out [from the hotel yesterday] at 2pm,” said Badung Police’s spokesman Ketut Sudana.
After JMH did not pick up the phone, Parwata decided to knock on his door but still received no response. He later decided to forcefully open the door and found JMH’s body.
“[Based on] identification results, the victim was already dead for eight hours,” Sudana said, adding that there was no foul play in his death and the police suspected JMH had committed suicide.
